The NQF has established a process for consensus standards maintenance and endorsement. As part of its mandate from HHS, NQF has developed a cyclical review process for its more than 600 current measures; this process includes a component to identify gaps for new measures that would meaningfully reduce cost and improve care. According to NQF, this endorsement cycle started in May 2010, but early reviews did not directly involve the CCSC patient population.  Read the response to the NQF here.
